Compare other mosquito apps before purchase, please.

This app is the original and the one and only app supporting sleep mode which saves your devices battery power and it keeps working even though your iphone is locked!

Also, this is the only app caring Kids. Using Kids-Safe mode with speakers, you can protect your Kids hearing.

Your own music can be played with Anti Mosquito sounding.

Timer is useful, too.

With the newest version, iPod Music Library is included inside the app, so you can make your own playlist to play with Anti Mosquito sounding.

* Working in sleep mode, you can lock the device, it just keeps working. Anti Mosquito is the only mosquito app can work in sleep mode.
* Supporting fluctuation mode. Turn it on in preference. You wont even recognize its working.
* Kids-Safe mode. Turn it on in preference. Kids and people who have good years wont be annoyed by using it around them.
* You can press home button twice to play your own music as background.

Anti-Mosquito produces sound in the range of 16000Hz to 20000Hz that is beyond the audible range of humans.

But mosquitos and other harmful insects can hear the sound from Anti-Mosquito. Even though you cannot hear the sound, it is so painful to them that mosquitos cannot be around you.

Since 1.0.1 update,

Anti Mosquito keeps generating sounds while the device is locked.(in sleep mode).
So you do not need to change your sleep mode setting, and can save both battery life and screen life of the device.

Since 1.0.5 update,

<< Fluctuation Mode >>

If Fluctuation-mode is turned on, Anti-Mosquito adjusts the volume level when frequency is being changed. So you cannot hear the clicking sounds.

An external speaker is required for 1st generation iPod Touch to use the Anti-Mosquito.
iPhone and 2nd generation iPod Touch with external speakers will be more effective.

<< Kids-Safe mode >>

Kids and some young people who have good ears can hear some part of high pitch frequency, and they can be annoyed with the sounds. If Kids-Safe mode is turned on, Anti Mosquito will force itself to not only Fluctuation mode but also get rid of the part they can hear. It will be helpful when you use Anti Mosquito around kids and those people who have young ears.

- How To Use?
For the best result, you need an external speaker to connect with your device. If you can hear nothing when youre using Kids-mode or Fluctuation mode with the speaker then it is good to use.

Pros and cons of Anti Mosquito 3.1 app for iPhone and iPad

Anti Mosquito 3.1 app good for

I bought an external speaker off of e-bay, and it it pretty good. I cranked it up and put my first gen ipod touch right up to my ear, i could definitly hear something and it hurt a little. I have not tested it on bugs or mosquitos yet, i am looking for a mosquito or bug. Please fix clicking( it makes the high pitched sound then clicks to nothing then back then audible tones then back) so far so good!!!
I got this and its cool but still has to fix some things with this app.
I read about this from Macworld. I think its very clever. And it really works well. All the mosquitoes are gone away from my room. I synced 5 devices, and purchased one more for another one. Now my wife and kids use it, and they are much more safer than last summer. I also use it at work and my space is the one and only place never attacked.
There was a mosquito in my room yesterday before I go to sleep. I heard it close to me. I put it on and in a few seconds the mosquito was gone. It works!!
This is the only app really works among various apps I tried.
I read most reviews of this app.. It seems like 50% works 50% not. Well.. it works quiet well for me though.

Some bad moments

I have just bought this app and will put of through the ringer here in west Africa... Stand by for a review of this product vs African mozzies... With and without external speaker running. UPDATE: test results Im Gabon not very good. I sat on the patio next to garden with plenty of mozzies. Tested both just iPhone speakers and external speakers no visible effect. They came they stayed they were trying to bite me. Several had the audacity to land on my iPhone speakers while playing the noise!!!! Not with it save your 99 cents!
I held up my external speakers up toward a bunch of Mosquitos and there was no reaction. They still hovering/standing on the same spot.
Didnt work at all. Still got bit many times. One mosquito even landed on my iPhone while the app was running! I should have put the money towards a can of Off instead! Dont waste your money!
Dont buy it. I held my speakerset right up to mozzies on a screen and they didnt budge. Dont waste ur money. Itunes, u shud be ashamed of yourselves for selling such garbage.
i put the application with an external device and a lot of mosquitos are coming in front of the device
I was taunted by a mosquito shortly after turning this app on...not worth buying...
